Yesterday I saw a black/tan (I think) E1 CSVT parked at the Safeway in Middletown, MD (Frederick county). Just wondering if it was anybody on here. There are a LOT of CSVT's in this little corner of MD these days.

No, that is wrong, and many people confuse that. E0 and E1 are designations for the 98 model year to denote the 'Evolution' change the cars had (rims, decontent, etc). If you use the terminology correct 98 is E0 and 98.5 is E1. 99s and 00 are just that, 99&00, since there were no appearance changes to the car minus the addition of the tan interior option.

Well either way it wasn't a '98 as it had the newer E1-up wheels. That is unless the owner added the newer style wheels in which case it's hard to say then, but I only saw it as I drove past it on my way to Rockville.

On a related note I saw yet another CSVT today. A silver one drove past the house (going SE toward Middletown) as I was outside testing out my new golf clubs. I must be a magnet for them as I've seen an unbelieveable number of CSVT's in the past month or so.

i know the difference...just most ppl cant distinguish a 98.5 from the 99 and 00's so they just say e1
