I got rear-ended today. For everyone that knows state college, it was outside of walmart. I was sitting in atherton turn lane ready to make a left onto vario blvd and the lady behind me hit me. Was low speed, probably 5mph. I flipped out and made a huge deal out of it... but it is only like 2 half moon circles made in the bumper cover from bolts on her front plate. She is paying for the repairs. A local body shop wants 350$ to fix it with sanding and painting and junk.... not sure what ford wants to fix it... I may get a picture of it up later if I get get ssh running on my roomates laptop... she was nice enough to let me use it.

that sucks man, but at least the damage isnt too bad. ive actually seen 2 crashes at that intersection before, i know exactly where you are talking about.

 I'm sorry to hear that. Don't go to Ford! Ask some of the local people (campus cops, etc.) for the names of some reputable shops in the area. Maybe you can get the front bumper done at the same time for not much more $$. IIRC, you said that it needed repainting.

I usually take my car to Walks to get stuff done, I have never had a problem. For paint i usually take my car out to the chevy dealer by the mall. Never had a complaint at either place and the finished product has always been what i was hoping for.

That sucks man! At least it is going to get taken care of. Remind me not to give you a ride anywhere. You've had some really bad luck lately.

that sucks doug..the funny thing is that that happened to me too, saturday night..same thing just too little circle from the screws on the plate

Bad luck. At least it can be fixed fairly easily, ie not major body damage. Hope you find a good paint & body guy.

Not you too. Just what you need to do, more body work. Are you going to fix it yourself or let a shop do it?

I am going to get an estimate tomorrow from ford. Hopefully it won't be too bad, although I really don't care.... the lady took advantage of me so I don't mind her paying more.
