Try asking SVT (Ryan) in NE CEG. His calipers are painted T-Red. I'm not sure if he put a clear coat though.

I went to my local body shop and they mixed the red using a paint scanning device. The color code should be in the driver side door jam.

I went to a local car parts store and bought high temp engine clear coat.

Hope this helps.

From my understanding of High temp paint, it allows the heat to pass through it therefore staying cooler and not allowing the paint to be affected by the heat. If you put regular paint on there with hi temp clear on top that wouldn't really do any good because the base coat is still taking all the heat. This may lead to cracking or even flaking.

let me attest that svt's (ryan's) calipers look very, very good. his process works very well. i painted my calipers silver to match the car, but no clear coat and you can tell a difference. i'll be doing the clear coat the next time the rims are all off. laugh

Thanks Mike! They did work out very well. There has been some slight discoloration, but it was pretty minor compared to the heat and brake dust that they are subject to.
