my mom wants to buy a diesel and make her own biodiesel, The most costly ingredient is methanol you need about 5 gallons to make about 40 gallons of biodiesel. I assume methanol, racers use in high hp applications is whats used and prob. the cheapest, but i cant seem to find anything online about the ave. costs. I use nitro for my rc cars and on the side of the bottle it says 99% methanol and thats 20$ per gallon so im sure its got to be cheaper than that. But does any one know the cost? and weres the cheapest/best place to get it? dragstrips, racetracks? hotrod shops?
