what do you guys think it would look like to paint the inside portion of the grill the same colour as the body colour of the car? so when completed the ring the inside and the car is the same colour...
any thoughts?
thanks.

Just paint the grill silver with Rustoleum Silver Metallic spray paint and be done with it! Looks sweet!

IMHO I don't think it would look real good. Black ones look okay but black is black (it looks good with everything). If you have a red tour and your entire front end is red it might look tacky. But I have never seen this so it might look good, I don't know for sure.
I think the Chrome paint looks the best, even better than that real mesh people use.

hmm. k i'll take your suggestion under consideration, thanks. When i look at pics of pre 96 (is that right? - anyway first gen) mondeos their front grill looks fine like that (all same body colour). But it is a different shape over all. When i take a look at the post 96 mondeos, i'm thinking you're right chrome is a good way to go BUT i have a non svt. The grill looks similar to the older ones (the inner part anyway) except there are more actually grill components. Let's say maybe 4 verticals compared to 1 on the mondeo. So i'm thinking it may go ok. I have a white tour btw
any other thoughts?

'Course, the Brits really need to improve their education system. They even spell Contour "M-O-N-D-E-O"
