it simply could not have propagated across species by evolutionary methods without harmful variations.
Wouldn't those harmful variations just die off and not reproduce, hence evolution?? The ones that don't work are miscarried or die in nature, ie animals wihtout legs, or too many, or harmful mutations. Mutations that could be helpful such as white fur in winter climates could come in very handy and the speicies would change, rather rapid or slow is irrelavant, they still change, eventually becoming different then populations in a warmer client.

An Intelligent Designer would be foolish not to use the same coding for the same protien synthesis in all animals, as it is such a complex process
Anyways if you go the ID approach things fall down toward earth becuase it's the ID easiest way for them to fall??? Not because of Gravity? ID is an easy way out for explaining things. Anyways if you go with this argument, ID is basically admiting that evolution happens, we did evolve from anscestor but we don't understand the mechanism for it. Hence the ID set it all in place. Maybe they did, it still doesn't mean that we didn't evolve. Evolution woudl default to the best mechanism availble, (much like a ID) and as you can see with fruit flies when they breed back to "normal" after human manipulation. Evolution can be proven, microevolution simply being easy to show because we can see it in our lifetime i.e. nylon eating bacteria. Macroevolution is a little more difficult to show, we can't see it physically but can use DNA and fossils (which really aren't too much of the basis btw).
