That's assuming that we are the only sentient beings in existence.

There are hundreds, probably BILLIONS of other planets in the universe where there is sentient life. Their planets sustain their form of life.

And, what if we EVOLVED to thrive in this environment? What it's not finished yet?

This wouldn't be the first religion that got left behind over time. The Greek Gods, The Roman Gods (albeit the same ones) and dozens of other religious beliefs going back thousands of years before Judaism was formed that have been forgotten about or decryed as myth.
