I'm inclined to believe scientists who can prove, at least to SOME degree, that evolution does exist. From caveman to present, WE have evolved over hundreds of thousands of years. Proof? Genetics. How many breeds of dogs are there now that didn't exist 5, 10, 15, 100 years ago? Pitbulls were bred to resist pain. They had to EVOLVE. You cannot prove god's existence any more than I can disprove it. But it's a LOT easier to believe that god does NOT exist when so many things are explainable by opening your eyes.
The faithful look at a sunset and say "that's God's work," when I look at a sunset and say "wow, it's amazing that a combination of gases combined with just the right angle can cause light to be colored in such a way."
I find it incredibly hard to believe that god is NOT a manmade concept. I just do. Why? Because man has been seeking a way to explain things that they could not see with their eyes since the dawn of time.
Until someone finds the true Garden of Eden, shows me the Egyptian soldiers' armor and chariots under the Red Sea, until Noah's ark comes floating by my house, I'll be happy where I am. Doubting Thomas? Perhaps. I'm open to being proven wrong. I just don't think it's going to happen.
I believe in fate, I believe in karma. But I don't believe in the Christian/Catholic/Jewish/Muslim concept of God.
And, for those that are unaware- Muhammed believed they were all the same god. Just throwing that out there.

Waste of time I think. I spend most of my life around scientists and engineers, both professionally and socially. Iâ??ve take for granted that everyone shares a certain disciplined way of looking at the world and debating differences.
I know thatâ??s not the case among the majority of our population, but by chance and by choice, as an adult I just havenâ??t hung around with enough fuzzy-headed ignoramuses to have developed the skills required to communicate with them.
In your case I just donâ??t see anything to gain in â??debatingâ? you. One can only discuss inanities for so long. I feel some small desire to educate you, but by and large it is too much work and you do not want to learn.
Take a couple of college level course in physics (and actually learn the material) and you will see how ridiculous your statements are. Science does not teach you how to live your life, but by God it does provide a powerful and compelling framework for understanding the natural world.
If you start listing the college course you have taken, especially if they include anything remotely related to science or engineering, I think it will make me cry for our education system.

Humans were created through genetic engineering. We're all hybrids of alien and monkey DNA. God is an alien race that created us in order to be slave workers.

Life is fragile so it seems like a higher power made the earth with the things that are needed to survive (the atmosphere, food, air and etc.). The only thing that is hard to believe about the bible is that God had no beginning and has no end (God has always been here and will always be here according to the bible).

That's the guy I was looking for when I was talking about when the muslims got their own material (the qur'an).
I remember from our cultural awareness class that there used to be statues depicting a bunch of major religions and their gods at Mecca. When a hardline muslim leader took over the area, he ordered them to destroy all the statues except for allah. When they came across god, he ordered it to remain since christians are the "people of the book."
So yeah... Osama and Saddam believe in the same god (with their own twisted interpretation of the qur'an) most of you all do.

That's assuming that we are the only sentient beings in existence.
There are hundreds, probably BILLIONS of other planets in the universe where there is sentient life. Their planets sustain their form of life.
And, what if we EVOLVED to thrive in this environment? What it's not finished yet?
This wouldn't be the first religion that got left behind over time. The Greek Gods, The Roman Gods (albeit the same ones) and dozens of other religious beliefs going back thousands of years before Judaism was formed that have been forgotten about or decryed as myth.

Ya know, if god is real and infinite, then I wanna be infinite too... otherwise, if he is, I'm gonna personally kick his ass when I got to heaven (actually I'll probly go to hell, then I guess I'll have to make buds with the devil so I might get the chance to do it).

Oh, then you must be a big fan of leaders such as the Ayatollah Khomeini and Osama Bin Laden. They had lots of faith in their God which greatly impacted their theories on governance.
Um, NO.
Knowing what their radical Islamic beliefs are, I would know that I DON'T want them as leaders. See what I'm sayin'.
Frankly, any leader that claims to be a spokesman for his or her God scares the hell out of me - whether it be a Christin God or a Moslem God.

I've gotta agree with you there. UBL = Jerry Falwell = Jim Jones = David Kuresh (sp) from Waco, Tx. = etc, etc.
BTW, to many: Muslim God = Christian God. One in the same.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
