How about litre instead of liter?

I've always spelled it as the former, not the latter.

Guess that makes me a Brit-wannabee...

Or, pronouncing schedule as "shedool" or aluminum as "alyumineeum"? laugh

I have done it to mine and it is color matched. I really think it made the whole front end more refined looking and because it is silver, the grill doesn't look plastic anymore...

The only problem with using paint from a rattle can is eventually,it chips, even with proper prep.(2 many P's)I learned this from many days of painting and only having to re-do it.I finally got off my a$$ and had a friend who owns a body shop paint and clear my entire grille. I have not had a problem, not even a rock chip,in 2 yrs.

Hate to burst a bubble but mine is a rattle can type and has shown no defects and even had a burning cigarette butt lodged in there (found it while washing the car).

BUt I guess if you need to spend mucho bucks to feel better about it, be my guest laugh

If you take the time to prep the area by sanding, priming, etc... spray cans will work just fine. I used rustoleum from the Depot...

I don't have a picture but the GA forum guys have seen it...

I was not trying to enrage anyone! I was just letting you know my experience. It has nothing to do with spending mucho bucks. It has ALL to do with not having to do double work. I had done sanding, washing, degreasing, drying, ethcing primer, and rattle can. The problem is the area I live in. Ever since I had my friend do it for FREE, I have not had a problem. Just trying to help! I am glad that you were able to do it like I first tried and it has held up. More power to you, just don't try to flame me because I did it different.

I agree. I did this and it looks great. You may want to clearcoat it afterwards to protect it better. Rustoleum has tons of other metal colors (titanium, chrome, black chrome, brass, etc).

Do not clearcoat Chrome paint...it will turn dull silver if you do this. I have tried several different brands and all chrome paint dislikes cleacoat.

On the positive side the chrome paint is quite a bit thicker than regular spray can paint so it doesn't chip at all. Not one chip on my grills since feb.
