That's such a fallacy to argue that. Just because its been inaccurate and wrong at times due to human error, it can't be used as a tool ?

log(15) = log(3x - 8x)

If some dolt got x=1 out of that equation instead of x=-3 doesn't necessitate that the laws of math are incorrect.
