IMO, I think what the Vatican was kinda affirming this.
They may still believe the whole process was created by a single being (say like big bang, and it was done...), but the bible itself is just teachings that was written by people... Now if the god itself wrote the bible, then maybe it could have some credibility.
It's kinda like the qur'an, up until a point, they all believed in about the same thing... except whoever wrote their setup claims allah spoke with him directly to change stuff in it.

Take it as you will, but I see that as every jesus freak that claims their god speaks to them... should we believe them and give them lots of $$$ because they claim they heard it from their god, BUT NOBODY ELSE DID?!

Oh and on the subject... I see these religious freaks that are trying to pass "intelligent design" off to EVERYONE, regardless of their beliefs, the same as the religious freaks that are trying to wipe out western society...
They are trying to force their beliefs on everyone else... exactly what the terrorists were doing...
In fact, I'm going to refer to all these ID extremists as terrorists now. Instead of blowing up people/objects, they are trying to blow up our school system.

You've got, as an example, Hindus vs Protestants... who is wrong? One or both are... which is why I don't believe in all this BS. I didn't need it to "cope" as I was growing up like some other weak people. Religion is a sign of weakness to me!

EDIT: just wanna add that I'm not bitter (even though it may sound like it)! I am a very happy person, and I could care less what everyone believes in, as long as they don't try to force me to do it also... verstehen Sie ?
