Wow, that's harsh!!
In MA, you get your license at 16.5 and cannot carry non-relatives under 21 for six months or you'll get a suspended license. (A friend of mine in high school got hers suspended for six months due to breaking this!). You're also not allowed to drive between 12 and 6 AM until you turn 18, although the police are lenient if you're driving home or to work (I worked at BK starting 6AM when I was 17).
