All of what has been said here is very valid. Just make sure you do a thorough check of your car. The link below is a start. it is the SVTOA tech inspection form for their Ontrack events.
Bring along a plastic tote / bin and put some bottles of fluid that you might need (brake fluid, ATF, coolant, oil... etc). Also bring an extra set of brake pads... just in case.

Otherwise have fun and if it is available make sure you have an instructor with you in the car. It makes for a great learning experience and increases the comfort level.

Thanks for all of the info guys. Yes, this is my first track event so I'm aiming to learn which is more than I can say for most 17 year olds.
