Did anyone else notice that since the whole lack of WMD the president's administration has been very vague about almost everything that he has had to talk about? I'm just looking for a president that can tell me what his plans are in detail and follow through with those plans to the very end.

But back on subject I'm really not surprised with the army corps of engineers coming under fire. They are really the only commission setup to look at large scale building projects.

About 2 or 3 years ago they gave an ok for a rock quarry owner to make a tunnel under Joliet Rd. in Countryside, IL (formally route 66.) After about 2 days the road began to collapse. It dropped about one foot before they had to close the road and detour all traffic about a 1/2 mile around the quarry. This road also has the fiber optic lines for most of the southwest suburbs running down the middle.

The road is still closed; no one is taking responsibility for the collapse. Vulcan (the quarry owners/operators) blames USACE and the local town for telling them it was OK. USACE blames Vulcan for not putting enough support during the demolition. In the most recent figues I've seen, they'll have to make a bridge for just that 30-60 foot long section at a cost of several million dollars

As with anything that gets screwed up its a number of little problems that make up the final big problem. So go ahead blame Bush, racism, USACE, LAs Governor, Global Warming, God, the devil, whoever. Blame is not going to pump out billions of gallons of water and its definitely not going to rebuild houses. They call these things natural disasters for a reason.
