Apples and Oranges. Tell me when there was a hurricane in Florida that was comparable to Katrina. Katrina was a natural disaster of unprecented magnitude in this country. You know what, I just read your post about blaming the president again that was rightfully locked. We already have enough threads of controversy!

This has nothing to do with an unseen enemy. This has to do with the inappropriate action of civil servants at all levels starting at the BOTTOM. I'd just once like to see you or any of these other people allow those CIVIL SERVANTS start to take responsibility for their own screwups. If you go through EVERY level from the bottom up and then you find that something was still unable to be coped with or unpreventable....then I'll not say a word as you blame the president. Funny, he's the highest on the totem pole in our country, but there are higher authorities.

Why not blame Kofi Anan at the UN for not prepositioning UN troops and supplies to a known impending disaster!
On top of that, why not Blame GOD?????
He's on top of the whole totem pole. WHy didn't God turn the storm? Why didn't god preposition Angels to help the flood victims? Why didn't god start dropping manna from heaven within 24 hours of the flood?

In the end in this world all you can do is learn to take care of you and yours, NOT depend on someone else. If people learn to take care of themselves then there would be a lot less blaming and also a LOT less that needs to be done. Pray to God for help on those things you can't prepare for.
