i just saw the same thing on the tv. I have no problem with the NAACP but wtf is your problem. People in new orleans are shooting at the [censored] helicopters that are trying to drop supplies. Police officers walked off the job because they can't deal with the thugs. You can't blame the lack of effort on race. You can blame it on being unprepared. Government or citizen prepardness wasn't adequate. You can't blame it on race!

Just once would I like to see these "black leaders" stand up and speak out against thier own, especially when its so cut and dry like it is down there. This is going to do nothing but create a further rift between the races IMO. I grew up in the city of Detroit and fully understand the injustices of the past, but this "gotta keep it real" buddy system has got to go! It also sucks that they blame Bush for this, but then again, whats new, everything is Bushs fault. I dont' want this to happen, but if a guardsmen shots a black person for looting down there, all hell is going to break loose, so lets pray, pray HARD, that it doesn't happen. The last thing we need is a circus down there w/ Jesse Jackson, Rev Al, Quasme Ifunma (spelling, yeah right) and Lewis Farakahn, what an additonal tragedy that would truely be

LOL it's just a shame !! I mean what the hell is going through someones mind when they steal 5 pair of NIKE shoes ? My wife asked me last night " why are the blacks the poorest people " I guess I didn't have a good answer for her. But from the way I can see , they will never change .

To be completely fair, I'd give them a pass on that. Dry footwear is a commodity in this situation just as much as water or food is. Ask any soldier how much fun it is to be stuck with wet boots and socks for a few days. I'd bet a lot of those refugees were without shoes altogether.
It's when you get into TVs and DVD players and jewelry and non-essential stuff like that that I start .
