I think it's horrible what happened. I feel for everyone there. It must be hell. Murder, rape, anarchy, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. We don't have the resourses to help becuase they're being wasted on an interest that isn't even of this country. The U.S. Govn't donated only 10 million dollars to help. Our own country. How much was spent in Iraq? Who did that money help?

Wow, you're a treat. Try $10 BILLION. And while you're at it, try imagining that the problem isn't lack of resources, it's the logistics of getting all those resources into place.

It takes about six hours for a bus to get from New Orleans to, say, Houston. Then you have to off-load people, then there's probably a cleanup period, if you've heard the stories about the dismal conditions that they're living in. Then if the bus crews are smart, they on-load supplies to take back to the NO Convention Center or Superdome, so there's probably a minimum of two to four hours to turn the buses from drop-off to ready-to-return. Then six hours back to New Orleans, making for about eighteen hours to cycle one load of people out of New Orleans.
