One crackpot deserves another:

Quote:

"Two days after 9/11, Jerry Falwell took to the airwaves to proclaim that God had allowed the United States to be attacked because "the pagans and the abortionists and the feminists and the gays and the lesbians" had tried to transform America into a secular society. Just this weekend, wingnuts from the Westboro Baptist Church turned out at the funerals of two fallen soldiers to say that God is punishing the United States in Iraq for its tolerance of homosexuality back home.

So when Hurricane Katrina hit land yesterday, we knew it was only a matter of time before we'd be hearing from the lunatic fringe again. And now, here it is. In an email message we just received, a group calling itself Columbia Christians for Life alerts us to the fact that a satellite image of Hurricane Katrina as it hit the Gulf Coast Monday looks just like a six-week old fetus.

"The image of the hurricane . . . with its eye already ashore at 12:32 p.m. Monday, August 29, looks like a fetus (unborn human baby) facing to the left (west) in the womb, in the early weeks of gestation (approx. 6 weeks)," the email message says. "Even the orange color of the image is reminiscent of a commonly used pro-life picture of early prenatal development."

And in case you're not getting the point, the email message spells it out in black and white: "Louisiana has 10 child-murder-by-abortion centers," the groups says, and "five are in New Orleans."

Dude stop digging yourself deeper in a hole. STFU now while you still can.

Definitely sounds like the ball was dropped by federal gov't. I am not saying that the mayor or governor are all that competant, but had this been a terrorism caused disaster I am sure the response would have been a lot more swift.

What a bunch of idiots! Talk about making Christians look like complete lunatics! God does not send a hurricane in to kill people or wipe out a city.

Ok, how long would it take to:

1. Make a few phone calls to Walmart Target and a few other big box stores and ask them to donate bottled water, wipes, diapers, cheese and beef jerky. (Does the gov't still store surplus cheese and milk?)

2. Have them deliver these items to a nearby AFB, in Texas maybe.

3. Load up a few C130s or a few dozen helicopters with this stuff and

4. Drop this stuff in the vicinity of the Superdome, where there is the equivalent of a small city living with no food, water, or sanitary supplies?

Anyone know how long it took the English to evacuate about 300,000 soldiers from Dunkirk?

They have forums?

Anyway, the mayor is under a huge amount of stress.

Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

Can I come too? The Army got me qualified on an M2 .50 cal machine gun... All that training is going to waste over here.

I read this on a wire service report:

"A female employee at a multinational firm in
South Korea said it may have been no accident the U.S. was hit.

"Maybe it was punishment for what it did to Iraq, which has a man-made disaster, not a natural disaster," said the woman, who did not want to be named as she has an American manager."

Man, are we hated by the rest of the world or what?
