Hi All I noticed today that I am no longer running as often to the redline as I was when gas was 70-90 cents a litre. Making sure I am keeping out of the secondaries. Added some more air to the tires. Anyone else doing anything to try to squeeze a few more mpg out? E

Yes and no. I live where gas is cheapest in Ontario (thank you,oh horrible $#!+hole province) and filled up at $1.09 today. I filled up at a half tank and it cost me $38 for 34L.
I think I'll be filling up when I get to about a half tank just to keep it full and to keep costs down, even though I'm pulling more weight around with a full tank. I have my tire pressures up and I drive a little less aggressively now.
Stupid hurricane. Stupid gas. Stupid prices. Stupid everything.

Yes, I just leave my cars in the garage and car pool to the meets. Seriously though, I don't have aspirations, right now, to take the cars out unless I really have to (ie. grocery shopping).

Must be nice to get paid what you want....

I've been doing this for quite some time now. I put in $20 when I feel I should top up.
Hard to do proper mileage records this way, but what are you gonna do.
As for changing driving habits.
I don't drive a ton, so when I need to go somewhere, I let it rip!!!!!
I was in Niagara Falls last week and got 312km on 29lt best fuel usage yet. (9.29L/100 or 25mpg)
avg speed according to gps 75km (damn rush hour traffic) top speed 152kph.
most of the highway driving was at 120-130kph.

I started riding my bike to work about 2 months ago. I have a 1994 Kona Cindercone that has been hanging upside down in my garage for 4 years. Had to replace the tires, but that was it.
I still haven't put gas in it since July....
EDIT: which raises an interesting question. How long does it take for gas to go bad?

I think the owners manual say if your going to store for 90 days or more to put fuel stabalizer in. Don't remember the exact number though.

Yeah, I moved into Toronto so I'm doing 12 k's a day instead of 100.... Since I'm splitting the place my rent cost as much as my gas. I feel bad for the guy who has my old 3L.. That thing was not good on gas at all...
Go 1.8T, chipping it next month.....
