I really like that color but don't think it will match a beige interior that well.

*Whips out Mondeo Brochure* The color is called "Blue Ice Mettalic" which was optional on the ST220. Standard color on the ST220 was "Mettalic Ford Racing Blue". Paint code.. not sure.. doesn't say.

Why wouldn't that look good with a beige interior? I think that colour combo would look really nice.
Sweet colour too btw.

why, don't you think a paintshop would mix to match or he could order it (for some good $$) from overseas?

Why bother from overseas ($$$ is right!)? There has to be tens, if not more blues that can possibly match that in the US...
How can a paintshop match it if they don't have a sample?
But, if you could get someone from the mondeo boards to send you a fuel door in that color, there's a good chance a paint shop can use the computerized digital camera to match...or even custom mix it w/ a good eye.
But like I said, it would be easier & cheaper to pick a blue from available chips...yes, it's a nice color, but not worth the effort IMO.

whoever said that you needed a paint chip to mix paint....people on this forum are weird when it comes to mixing paint, if you cant find the paint code online, then you should be able to ask somebody knowledgable overseas for the individual paint codes and the amounts....
