Well, my throw out bearing has been going for a while now. Ever since I bought the car (1.5 yrs ago), there was a ticking noise when you put the car in neutral and let out the clutch. Then, last fall, it would occasionally howl a little in the friction zone when I would start moving from a stop. It is getting more and more consistent.

I called a couple of local transmission shops around here and was quoted ~10 hrs of labor, so total with parts/labor ~$900-1000. Ouch.

Has anyone out there done this themselves? How much of a PITA is it? Anyone looking to make a couple hundred bucks helping me do this myself?

I'm looking for suggestions, I don't enjoy the thought of sinking $1K into a new clutch and then shelling out more to get my dash-warp fixed. Help?
