It's time for a Jetta TDI. Pronto man.

Georgia just took it up the ass today. That's all there is to it. Figure the highest I saw today in Georgia per online pictures was $5.87 and my minivan has a 19.5 gal fuel tank, that's $114.47 to fill it up. Figure the average American gasses up every week and it comes out to over $457.

Remember, that's a minivan. There's SUVs with twice the gasoline capacity and half the fuel efficiency of my Sedona.

That's an entire month of clothing or several weeks of food, just for one fillup. Not to mention other things like an XBOX or a headunit for the car or several party days' worth of beer.

Yeah, Britain and the rest of Europe pay an obscene amount of money for petrol over there, but the fact of the matter is that their economy can handle it. They don't bat an eye at $6 or $7 or $8 a gallon of gasoline. The United States as it sits would literally fall in from the center out with people driving the big SUVs and trucks that they do and the crappy economy being the way it is.

Either gas prices need to come back down, or the rest of the economy needs to catch up. If neither happens, the United States is in for some maaaajor trouble within the very near future.
