Is anyone else annoyed by those scams when you try to sell yer stuff in the cassified ads. Well so am I. I've been trying to make it annoying for them though. I have a few things for sale at this current moment, and over half of the replies are scams. What I've been doing(since I have no life)is replying and making them waste time on trying to get info from me. After a few days of that I just send them an email saying whatever I think can piss them off. I havn't had one reply after that. It won't stop them, but I have nothing else better t do with my time. So if your having the same problems and don't want to deal wit it, send me their email address(everyone is fake as hell anyways) and I will now be the client, and make it annoying as hell(hopefully) for scams on ceg. Like I said. It wont put a stop to it, but it will give me somting to do and hopfully make the classifieds here better.

Yeah i have pretty much been doing the same thing. I have had a few of them actually send me the cashiers check as well. Then I turn the check over to a friend of mine in law enforcement and he has it checked for prints and files it away. Nothing may ever come of it, but if they start to get a few duplicate prints maybe it will turn something up.

On the top of all of my classified ads I have
"NO SCAMMERS, NO DEBTOURS CHECKS, NO "MY CLIENT IS INTERESTED IN YOUR ITEM" EMAILS WILL BE ENTERTAINED. DON'T EVEN BOTHER, I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE!!!"
In addition, if you replace the "@" with "AT" in your email address it seems to stop all but the most persistent scammers. I post on several different classifieds and I do the same thing on all of them. Since I've been doing that I don't think I've gotten a single scam email. If you like playing around with them then I can respect that, but I just got tired of weeding through all of the BS emails just to get to one legit one possibly deleting it by accident becuase I get on a delete spree!!
