My brother recently had to change the rear wheel bearing hubs on the SVT I sold him. He went to order the parts and to his suprise they had them in stock.
We went to take the old ones off and I had every tool I had ready expecting a fight to get it off. Once we got the wheel, the caliper and rotor and the axle nut off I was going to put the puller on and my brother had a brilliant idea. Grab onto the hub and see if he could pull it off. He almost did but it got stuck half way. I tapped it back on and we both grabbed on and I said, "on three" we both pulled with all our might and there was the pulling your thumb out of a soda bottle sound and we both tumbled across the garage floor.
Everything went fine, the car rides nice and smooth and quiet now. I just thought the whole thing was kinda funny and that I should share.
He wants to change out the front rotors to either drilled or slotted to help improve braking in the rain and reuce fade. I took step one for him and got him a set of Mintex A/F for the front for x-mas. He says its better but not what he wants.
Let me know if any of you folks have done anything to help braking and how you like it.
