How did you prep the back SVT emblem? Chris Hightower suggested paint thinner to get the chrome finish off but that didn't work(left it in for two days and no change). Did you just sand a little and paint over the chrome?
Anyways, looks really good!

Anyways, looks really good! My paint guy sanded it with 180, and used epoxy primer. That stuff etches itslf to the material. Then painted.

Damn, least you could have done is clean the poor bug that lost its life off the fron of your bumper . Looks sweet, glad to see you got it back running properly and looking good! Are you going to be able to join us next weekend for the tour of Kansas Speedway? Would love to see these mods in person!

The grill looks GREAT! Thats the way it should have come fromt the factory. I'm going to have to paint my grill too but I wanna see how the painted chrome grill holds up.

I love it! ...and I'm jealous. My car is silver, and with a Mystique grille... let's just say it'd look funny painted Silver Frost. Really, everyone with a Contour should do this (Sorry MY99SVT!). Black, Silver, it doesn't matter. Paint your emblems and chrome to match the body! One suggestion, however: pop in some clear turn signal bulbs; 3457, IIRC. They really clean up the front end, and the police around here never seem to notice (who "notices" a Mystique anyway?); they appear as amber before being fully illuminated and even then they aren't fully white. .RMk..

Huuuh, I beg to differ but up here, blinkers that flash clear or blue or whatever scream rice so loud you hear them a mile away... Most Civic owners would make fun of your 'tour if it had that. He's got the orange reflector out which really cleans up the lines but the bulbs need to stay orange. JMHO as usual, I guess it's all local trends. To me orange blinkers have a function, they help other people locate you at night. White blinkers look like you hit a lamp post and cracked the corner light on your Cutlass but are too lazy to get it fixed. Heurk. MY99SVT: I'm officially jealous of that SVT emblem. Wish I had a black one so I could copy you!

Silversvt, As much as i love your ride i am going to have to argue this one little point. Most Civic owners would make fun of your 'tour if it had that. Personally i could give a rats A ss less about what a Civic Owner thinks of MY car. I did my oval last week but have no Pics.... I am working on Getting back in town in time so I can Meet most of you at the KC speedway...... after all Fishe had some say in the design of the San/Water/Topo their, While I was working for HNTB. Haven't been their since the Employee tour upon completion.
