yeh so anyways long story short ran my car at 180..usually goes past that with no problem but..this time i had it there for a little while going around a turn and then pop! the whole car shut off....so first thought was [censored] i blew my engine..then i slow down and pull over sit for a minute and it started right back up..and it seems as if the timing is always =changing with it to... like sometimes it will lose power up top or the throttle will go up and down when stopped.i knew u guys will say tps but i replaced that like 15,000km's ago..but i also have major stretch'ige on the throttle cable so i think it could have messed it up a bit...please help i hope its not a fuel pump problem or something as the tps are only 26 bucks thankx

a q-tip will leave crap on it. Use only electircal parts cleaner. It dissolves on it's own. And going at 180 for long periods (30 seconds +) will not be healthy for any engine or part.

180 kph is pushing it for a Contour. Our non SVT Contours have a speed governor of 115 mph (184 kph). In addition, maybe it is time for a new IAC valve if the cleaning doesn't work.

4th gear and 180 kph is not a good combination.
