I just checked this morning, seems an extra full quart is needed. So I'll be doing oil changes with 7qts of oil now. I can't comment on the benefits of a larger filter, but I can say that oil changes will be MUCH less messy and easier with the filter over there.
I did the kit for two reasons really:
1. Easy hookup of my oil pressure and temp gauges in an ideal location 2. Easy, clean oil changes 3. It's badass
Ok 3 reasons I guess.

I'd think you would need to run more oil with the relocation kit and a stock size filter right?

ya, probably only need .5 qt more oil with a stock filter. The FL-1A is like twice as big as a stock filter. I'm not sure if this adapter will let you use a stock filter though. The instructions with it say to use the FL-1A. The threads may be different.

That's where mine is installed. Makes for a simple and clean oil change.

Yea mine looks like your Ryan. I think I posted that I had to switch sides because my temp probe wouldn't reach. Good job! Looking good!

Order soon, it takes about 6 weeks to get it. It can be purchased through summit racing but its special order. I couldn't find anyplace that had it in stock.
I'd like to see pics of it mounted under the battery tray too. I couldn't see how to get it isntalled in there without the A/C component preventing the hoses from making a 5" radius bend. The isntructions say the hoses should not be bent anymore than a 5" radius to prevent blockage.....
