hey Todd... did I read correctly that I could run an oil pressure gauge in line to the remote filter?
Once it cools off outside, I'm wanting to install oil pressure and oil temp gauges, air oil cooler, and remote filter. Could I run all of that off of the filter adaptor? I'd like to do the cooler last (and another day), so I can get a good baseline from the gauges.

I think you definately could. The new filter adapter with this kit has two extra "ports" on it that you plug your guage sensors into. One for pressure, and one for oil temp if you wish. Plumbing in a cooler is ultra easy too, just run the tube out from the filter adaptre to the cooler, THEN back to the engine block (or plumb it in before the filter, whatever)

Just installed my kit today:
Todd, did you have to move your filter bracket forward to allow the rubber hoses to make a >5" radius bend once you installed your fender liners? I don't think I had enough room to run the hoses the way you did.
EDIT: oh, and you're right about not enough room to mount the adapter on the other side, below the battery. I mean, you can mount the adapter there just fine, but the A/C condenser prevents you from running any hoses up to the adapter
EDIT2: is it normal for the line going to the pressure gauge to aerate like that after the motor is turned off?

Is the only reason you guys are installing the relocation kit on the drivers side because of the gauge cable/tube lengths? I'd think the passenger side would be closer to the oil filter adapter -- so shorter oil tubing. Just curious... planning on doing this in the next month or two.
rkneeshaw3.0: did you powdercoat yours, or is that how the new ones come?

but is that it? Mines busted, so I'm thinking about just removing it, instead of fixing.

The kit came as it looks in the pictures, I didn't do anything but install it I guess you could put it on the passenger side if you dont have a reservior there. Is it closer? Maybe about 3 inches closer to the origional oil filter location. I dont think its an issue, the kit comes with enough hose to put it on either side. I had about 8 inches of hose left over after installing mine.

Since it appears that you are running a MUCH larger oil filter. Would is be safe to say that another .5 quart could be run thru the system?! Is there any added benefit to this or am I just thinking like a typical non-engineer.
