A little up date to this. I had to flip my connections on the filter housing. The wire for my temp gauge wouldn't reach the far side. I have Autometer Phantom gauges and you can't modify the wire. It is what it is and you have to make it work.

do you think there will be any problem with the barbed hose fittings? couldn't that be a potential weak point in everything?

wouldn't something with a threaded fitting be much better?

I am refering to the hose connections to the oil filter relocation kit

Oh ok. The stepped nipples are great. You can't even pull the hose off of them w/o a ton of force. This is even before the hose clamps go on.
