You can do that if you have an electrical gauge. The senor on the machanical is very long so you can't do that.

I'm guessing the SVT cooler would still function as normal with the filter relocated. Oil is still going in and out of it.

how about extra oil, how much more do you think one wil need to add to have the filter relocated?

OH ok i see , I currently have the SE radiator so I have no idea if that even has the cooler in it , I will have my SVT radiator in the next week so I guess I will run that cooler . Unless an aftermarket one is better .

Remains to be seen. Maybe 1/2 a quart to a quart. Have to monitor.

The radiator has nothing to do with the oil cooler. Coolant comes out of the lower WP outlet, circulates through the OC which is bolted to the block where your filter is. Your filter is threaded onto it. Coolant circulated through it and then goes back into the coolant system.

I will eventually. I'm concentrating on getting the car running first. I should have put it on while the engine was out I realized. I guess some guys had to grind the block a little. Pretty tight in there. Some didn't have to though. Maybe I'll get lucky.
