does anybody know if you can change the color of the lights behind the speedometer? what is the model number for the lights?

Yeah,I don't see why not. They're a really small bulb though.
In my Celica,I switched all the green bulbs to blue,so it can most likely be done. I think some guys here have done blue with theirs.

It's not as easy as you think. The OE bulbs are not green they are clear. The gauge faces have a film on the back that cause instruments to appear green when illuminated. Adding a blue/red/purple bulb will not produce the exact color illumination. I tried to do red myself and it looked more like orange. To do it right you would want to take the cluster apart and carefully remove the film from the areas that allow the light to pass through (not easy). I know that aftermarket gauge face kits have no film, so illumination with any color bulbs produces positive results. Just changing the bulb color may not give you the effect you're looking for.

Go to www.superbrightleds.comThey make a small bulb that will work. I bought silverfaced EL gages, then put blue LED's into the light sockets to change the needles blue, and it also made the EL gages even brighter. Last few on this page plus.CLICK ME! They only work one way, so if you put em in, and they don't work, turn the bulb around. They have a +side and -side. Easy to do though. This is what they look like. ( I also swapped ALL interior bulbs to blue LED's from this website. Looks BAD @$$!!! (sorry the pic is blurry, crappy old cam at the time)

What are you driving? You could try this site. CEG has used them in the past for a GB which turned out really well. The site is laid out kinda screwy so I'd just call them if you want. They don't sell just bulbs but maybe you'd like something different.
