if you go get a set of snow tires and then some summer performance tires you will be happy. yes it is more costly but your tires will last longer not driving on them all year round. Also having good grip in the winter can save you alot on repairs from an acciedent.
the contour is a great winter car with snow tires.
you can get snow tire sets, mounted and balanced on steel wheels from tirerack.
otherwise look for a set of 15 mag wheels from the focus or contour and you will be good to go.
