Cheap labor = cheaper goods and services. That's applicable everywhere. But I agree that we need to make more of an effort at stemming the tide.
If the only reason we are letting illegal immigrants into this country is for cheap labor, why don't we bring back slavery. 
We should be setting an example as the the superpower of the world, not showing that we can exploit people that come into this country.
