Those things were rode hard and put away wet. The instructors HATED them...especially the newer instructors who were stuck with them as the veterans got to drive the limited number of Cobra-powered Crown Vics. The mechanics hated them too, because they were ALWAYS fixing them, and surprisingly enough it wasn't the trannies that were the biggest problems, it was the engines themselves.
