Autolite APP764 is identical to what the factory installed in 95 except for the name stamped on the side of the plug. Autolite is the vendor that supp;ies most of the plugs for Ford's Motorcraft. This is my first choice.
If you want to try a fine wire then the Autolite XP104 looks like the correct part number. It looks like it is nearly the same as the factory plug for 96 and newer. The difference is that it has a platinum side wire which is an improvement. This plug should work fine, but I'm not yet convinced that it is an improvement.
Our engines don't seem to like Bosch plugs, either their plain platinum or their multi-tip +4.
