You are kidding, right? Double-plats are needed due to the way the coilpack works. It has nothing to do with the wires.

Do you have any idea HOW the Contour's coil pack works???? Spark goes one direction on one bank, then the other direction on the other bank.
This means that platinum is needed on the electrode on one bank, and then platinum is needed on the ground on the other bank.
From the factory, one bank has the -E plugs, and the other ones are -G plugs.
What the hell would wires have to do with the way the coilpack fires????
