Does anyone have these on their car? I'm considering getting these, but I don't know if they are any good. What concerns me is if they will light up the whole tail light assembly. I wish I could see what they look like on Tour.

The drop in units with ~25 or so 5mm LEDs just don't cut it. Been covered many times in this section.
Search for "LEDs" or "LED brake" or "LED tail" in this section I'm sure you'll find one of the threads. The best bet is to go with the standard 4" truck modules and do a full retrofit (also been discussed)...otherwise wait. So far none of the drop ins have proven to be sufficient, but the '06 mountaineer is going to have something from Osram that might be viable for retrofit...the "joule" module...it's just over the horizon, i don't know much about it, but it looks promising....built in heatsink too, so you don't have to mess with that.
We shall see...

I've seen them on the internet (read: eBay) a few times. I almost considered them for my conversion.
FYI, the Mystique assemblies that he used are a bear to work with. They take A LOT of time and patience. I have a set here nearing completion.

What exactly do u mean? As long as they're brighter than stock. They can cause electrical problems, so that's why they sell Load resistor kits. I am tempted to try these LED bulbs, but I'm not sure how they will look.

How about these? They also have the load resistor kits about half way down the page.

I mean that they are not better than the the original incandescent lamps. They do NOT have more output, they are NOT a suitable replacemnt. Like i said before, please search this forum and you will find the discussions that we had before, and that should provide all the answers that you want.

All the guys that have done the full retrofit have gone this route...using pre-assembled 4" truck lamps.
You use what you can fit in the housing..
Other places to look are buytruckstuff.com and leetransport.com which is where i got mine from...just poke around on google, and you should find plenty of places selling the standard 4" lamps...there's all sorts of types with different patterns and looks, some use 5mm 2 prong LEDs some use superflux.
Since our car uses only one lamp as STT (stop/tail/turn) wiring becomes rather simple.
If you're leaving 2 incan. lamps in the car, swap the flasher relay rather than adding the load resistor kit thing...onece again, searching will reveal several disscussions we've had about the flasher relays recently.
Hope that helps.
