I am starting this here only because of the vast discussion of Octane ( that seems to be in the wrong place, but was left alone ) So if the thread gets moved, so be it.



First thing I'll say, if you want mileage and lots of it buy a diesel VW. But here, that's not the case. We have our contiques and love them, so we will suffer with the price of gas as it is.

Is there anything that WE can do to help our cars? Experimenting with tire pressures, smaller tire sizes ( widths ), shifting at a lower RPM anything real that someone has experimented with. Anyone do any real world experimenting ? I will say one thing for me, shifting at 3k made the biggest difference in mileage so far. I won't even start with tornado's
