gave my car a second look on the interior and that looks like it's going to be a huge job. Spoke with Coffman Auto Glass and Trim on the west side of Michigan and they quoted me $900 for the whole interior excluding the seats and carpet. Not too bad in my opinion because there's a whole gang of tan plastic parts that would seemingly take forever to finish.
I need to find a place that sells the primer/paint materials for the interior before I do anything though. Probably wont be driving the SVT this winter so maybe that will be my winter project until the turbocharger arrives...

i want to paint everything black on my dash that is brown. i like my tan interior but i hate the dash color vs the doors and seats tan color. any rough idea what it would cost do the brown/non-tan dash all black professionally. a few hundred. i like diy, but hate crappy diy. i'd rather pay someone if i know it'll come out better. i know i can't pull it off.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

Hey Brad, you said those stuff works on fabrics too, right? If you remember, I have red interior that I really don't like and want black or midnight-blue ones. I'd like to know if those paint you talked about will be a problem if I use them on the seats?

Brad was exactly correct in what he stated.
You need to use a plastic/vinyl prep to draw all the oils out before spraying it. the hardest part of the project will be pulling the dash out of the vehicle. It will be a major pain in the ass! Other than that the project will be pretty easy. SEMS also makes vinyl dyes that work pretty well.

Well, I just did this to my SVT, the soft inserts on my door panels, my speaker grills (all four) and my "knee pads" on the dash are now in black. My interior is a two-tone midnight blue and black. I used a vinyl paint I purchased from PEP BOYS, which is holding up very well, even to using the door panels as support while I shove boxes into the backseat. If I can steal my brother's digi-cam, I'll post pictures soon.
I haven't painted the soft part of the dash, for fear of cracking. If I could do the entire interior in black, I would, since my car is T-red.

Painting mine wasn't hard... Just a lot of masking...

wonder if it'd be feesable to go hog-wild with the masking tape and not have to take the dash out of the car?

It looks like the door panels are sectional. That way I can just replace the cloth. This way I can have a pattern, even if it is a faint one, rather then it being all black.
Anyone have any suggestions on glues?
