Hokay, looks like I'm getting mixed reviews here.

;-)

From looking at the market, I'd pay this much for a Toyota with well over 100K. Is a Toyota that much of a sure bet, that even a machine with 120,000 miles is worth more than a Contour with under 60?

I would say, buy it! laugh

I have the same car and I love it! wink

When I bought it the dealer replaced the front passenger side window regulator, cd player, and left rear speaker. They paid for it to get the sale. laugh

Other than that, I think that even though it is a 2.0 with auto, it is still a great car for what it has to offer!
I know that it is only a 2.0 engine, so I don't expect too much from it!
Even with that, I'm still pleasantly supprised by it's response and handling! eek

Last October I looked at a 91 loaded Camry with a little rust around the wheel wells but a perfect interior and only 56K for $3400 obo. I was going to get it for my daughter but wound up with a 97 Saturn SL2 in perfect condition with 68K for $4500. It nows has over 80K and all I put in it so far is plugs and oil. There are many good, cheap cars out there IF you look, but it almost sounds to me like you WANT the Contour.
Nothing is a sure bet...but some bets are better than others and betting on a Contour is not one of them.
