Umm sounds like the condensor
We have no way of knowing without looking at it, sorry. It could be condensor, accumulator, comressor,etc.
And your car is not a 97, it's a 98, 98 1/2, 99, or 2000.
Post your location, maybe someone on here is close enough they can look at it.
