isnt there an area on the ford website to email them with comments, I say we all go there like all 5000 members or whatever it is, and email saying they need to bring something like the contour/mondeo back to the market. Its worth a shot.

Whoever decided to scrap the plans for a Mercury-branded Ford Mondeo should seriously reconsider. What I'd like is the Jaguar X-Type R drivetrain with the Mondeo's body, trim and price! Ford could build this car for around $30K. But then a car like this would cannibalize the X-Type R, right?

I do believe Ford needs something to replace the Contour and I believe Ford has also figured that out. The one thing I am glad about is the direction SVT has taken with S/C the Cobra. So now the Lightning and the Cobra are both S/C, so if Ford ever gets a decent sedan maybe SVT will S/C it also. laugh And as it stands, my next sedan purchase will be an Altima or Maxima, those things are tight.
