Wow. That's news to me. My theory of the beginning of the universe is rather eclectic. I wrote an excellent paper in college that included this topic; unfortunately I only have it in hard copy format. Transcribing it is one of my goals for the next couple of weeks, I may post it when it's done.

If it's typed scan it with adobe acrobat.

Yes, by all means, please don't keep the scientific community waiting.

It did impress my sociology professor, who is brilliant, and well-known in his field (this is the guy that started his own religion as a sociological experiment, and the religion is still practicing today even though he left it a couple decades ago). However, it isn't as much a scientific paper as it is a philosophical one. So the scientific community will be bummed if they get too excited about this.

Actually, the ideas that serve as the foundation for my theory came from my Catholic high school education. In my theory, I borrow ideas from both Creationism and evolution and show how a cooperation between the two theories serves as the most complete explanation of our existence and beginning.

I'll try to transcribe it, but a revision may be necessary.

fwiw, i am not discounting god's hand in creation. apparantly i misunderstood the point of the article and mistakenly assumed it was meant as a serious article. my comment about people actually believing this stuff was meant in this light.

Interesting; I also keep one foot firmly planted in both camps as I'm not a firm subscriber to what either side has tried to force down the population's throat.

Since science continues to spectacularly fail to answer some of the most basic questions of human existance and religion seems to spectacularly fail to quantify meaningful and logical answers to those same questions, I've come to an odd sort of shaky balance between the two.

That balance is full of holes, but so is Creationism and so is Evolution...

Anyway, to get back on track: the Onion is a riot.

There's someone I want you to meet.

my csvt - davo

davo - my csvt.

also

are you saying you think davo and i are same person?

no.

since you wanted to meet someone like that, he is introducing you two.

Right. Just a little joke, there.

And for what its worth, The Onion is a humorous, satirical fake news website - not really meant to be taken seriously. If you did not know that, the front page story about Rumsfeld paying an official visit to his wife's vagina must have been very confusing for you.
