Hi everybody, love my contour except for the few problems it has (Non functional driver window, for some reason, the power seems to go out from it and it will not roll up. Also the gas cap doesn't open unless I pull the string from the trunk, and the cigarette lighter doesn't work, for the same reason as the driver window.) It's been treating me well and I wanted to learn more about it and do some neat things to it. Jordan AKA J-Shep

Welcome, Check fuses 21 for windows and 27 for cigarrette lighter in the passenger compartment fuse box next to your left knee when seated on the driver's seat. There is a round knob. Push and the panel will drop down.
In addtion gas cap is a "Quirk"

WOW! Your quick thanks! Will I have to unscrew the whole door panel to access this? Or that knob will just drop down? Sorry, I'm very new at the whole car thing, i'll do a search really quick.

Wow, I like this guy... Anyway, now you don't have to unscrew anything. If you look under the dash there's the fusebox with a button to push to release it. I think the owner's manual explains it the best way, but maybe somebody here has a better description than that...

LOL. I had the book out. I was just helping Zerohour (at Troubleshooting - Crap/Found it) with a Fuse problem just now.
