[Letter to President Clinton. Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, Oct. 9, 1998]
OK, now we're two for two on your alleged quotes. Did you actually check out the primary source for these quotes of yours or do you expect that everyone will be as gullible as you are?
This is apparently from a speech given by Carl Levin. Once again, you have chosen to leave out a portion of this quote that torpedoes your whole point. Did you really think it was irrelevant that Mr. Levin was calling for an INTERNATIONAL Response??? Here is the part you conveniently chose to omit.
"Mr. President, it is vitally important for the international community to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to allow UNSCOM and the IAEA to carry out their missions. To date, the response has been to suspend sanctions' reviews and to seek to reverse Iraq's decision through diplomacy"
