I got an r-134a refill kit - and looking under the hood there are 2 valves that look likely to be where I would hook it up to refill the system - one on the drivers side of the car in the hose that runs over the radiator, and one that sticks up behind the passenger side headlight. Which one is the correct one? I have the Chilton manual - which sucks and just says "don't refill the system yourself" (to paraphrase)... and I did a search and found a "how to" but it didn't clearly state which valve to hook up to. Thanks in advance!

The one directly against the radiator, next to the driver's side headlight, between the battery and the UIM.
Side note: don't do this unless you possess the skill to do so correctly, or the money to repair it, should anything go wronge.

Jax... you are incredibly off... or mistaken... or both.
the low side is on the driver's side, as I stated.

Thanks Ray. I appreciate the disclaimer too Got it all filled with no issues - I discovered, after looking at it a bit closer that the quick connect on the refrigerant only fit on the one valve, the other is larger. I had originally just peeked under the hood to see where the valve might be without the bottle in my hand - didn't want to accidentally hook into the high pressure side. Thanks again!

Whoa! My bad. Good job listening to Ray and not me. Next time I'll actually go and look instead of trying to rely on memory.

Ya... to prevent ya from hooking up to the high side like you could in the old R12 with the same size schrader valves.
