I have searched like crazy but can't find the answers. I recently put a 3.0 in my 95 se. Now i am working on the tb uim and the lim. I need to go with 19lb inj. so i must change my lim. My only problem with doing this is the vacuum controlled irmc. I can kinda visualize what i must do to make this work but before I go for it I would like to know or see pics on how someone else has done this. If anyone can help i would appreciate it but if not i guess i will have to take plenty of pics of what I do and hope to god i don't mess up. but just incase i bought two svt lim's.

thanks
joel

What LIM are you using right now? Did you use the 3L heads or your old 2.5L heads? If you used the 3L heads, were they oval ports with the plastic UIM and LIM?

Lots of info needed before an answer can be given!!

PS you REALLLY should run the 24lb Injectors that come on the 3L to make it run right. 19's are too small for a 3L - they are meant for SVT's.

You're going to have to find a return style SVT LIM and swap over your vacuum solenoid for the secondaries onto it. And then use the 19lb'ers if you want or if you want to go 24 lb it's going to be a bigger headache as you will have to use an SVT return fuel rail AND splice on new injector connectors from the 3L harness over to your harness and swap over the secondary attachment too. Good luck!

Copare them side by side and see what needs to swap over!

I know it has been done. Someone posted pictures. IIRC it was over a year ago.

I'm going to step out on a limb and disagree with you on this one Stazi. With my 3L, I had the 19# injectors in for 2 years and it ran flawlessly. The A/F was almost perfect on the dyno. As you noticed at Spring Zing, my car put down 7 less whp and 9 less wtq with the 24# injectors, and this was WITH my larger CTA pipe and 65mm T/B. If he's going to run 24# injectors, he'll need a tune. Otherwise, use the 19# injectors, as the SVT computer is set to run them.

Then again, you aren't running an SVT obviously. I hope you plan to tune the car immediately, as 17# injectors will be too small. Go with the 24# injectors and TUNE!!

Mark I'll stand by the 24lb recommendation but YES - tuning is ESSENTIAL to make it run right AND get the most power out of it.

Ok let me ask this??

Since the fuel pressure regulator is set at a certain pressure. Since u change the injectors the pressure regualtor will still in essence still produce the same amount of fuel pressure. So the #24 pound injectors will have less strain on them to produce fuel but still produce fuel set by the computer and regulator. Unless u have an optomizer for your atermarket fuel system or MAF. IT should still idle and run fine. No riching problems.

I state this because in Ford rangers that had before i wen tto a 5.0 (yeah). The 3.0 in it is was running lean, due to the higher compression that came from the factory. To fix this we would replae our #14 injectors with #19's and everything would run perfect. Unless u purchased a adjustable fuel pressure regulator!! But eh maf and computer did not throw and codes or show gas mileage difference. Also took away our detonation problesm, even though we ran a 92+ octane adn cleaned injectors every 3k miles.

Now thinking for returnless system, Is there a regulator??

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
