I have a Red top now and its flat out amazing.. a yellow top will soon be added
The Odyssey is not a no-name product. It's actually a very good product, based on an improvement on the Yellow Top design. They're one of the top choices for racing because of their light weight and deep cycle capabilities.
This being said, the Odyssey's improvements really relate to true deep cycling. For audio use, the two batteries should work similarly.

Why?
My yellow top has been perfectly fine, and I have put it through hours of engine off listening sessions since 2001 without a single problem. It also starts my car easily in the dead of winter too.
My experience with Optima batteries has been less then stellar in cold climates. I know you are Illinois with similar winter weather and it sounds like you have had good luck. A good friend of my dad's is a owner of a local Battery store and a dealer of Optima, Interstate, and Oddysey. The first time I bought the Red Top, he made sure I got the most out of the warranty. The first replacement lasted less than a year, and the second replacement isn't all that healthy. Luckily, they have each failed within their warrantied time. When it comes time to replace it, extensive internet searches and discussions with the owner of the Optima dealer have led me to believe that Oddysey (formerly Enersys, IIRC) makes the most powerful and durable batteries, even at a slightly higher cost.

That and massive CCA and even more impressive cranking amps (even with long durations).

Actually Dave believes $$$/performance is more important than what logo is on the case.
So do I and so should you, might drive down some prices if everyone saw things that way.

And in this case, the battery I recommended actually costs more than an Optima, and I believe it still represents a better overall value.
