well I work for firestone, and have the hri's on my se so I'm speaking from personal experience. They're stiff yet have a soft tread that makes them grip well in the rain and snow. they retail for like 50 bucks a tire. compare them to other 50 dollar tires, and they'll kick they're a$$.. The zri's are nice tires as well, but I wouldnt call them all season.

edit: also where did you see bad reviews on them?? go check tire rack, most people on there praised them, those who didnt are comparing them to 125 dollar a piece bridgestones and michellins, and shouldnt clutter the reviews with bad opinions like that..compare apples to apples.
