on a rare day the car runs good i have the zetec dohc 4cl. contour. sometimes the car when i first turn her on let her warm up the car stalls.finaly after a while of keeping the pedal down a bit she warms up and barely idles. ive checked and replaced spark plugs and wire set oil to royal purple cust air intake fuel filter ive cleaned the iac ive added gallons of injector cleaner and isoheet to remove water. ive hosed down the egr and surronding vacuum lines with electrical cleaners. im not the best at typing so ignore the bad grammar. also when im on the freeway and i have the ac on the car runs better than when i dont have the ac on. when i dont have the ac on and im going around 60 to 80 the car suddenly acts like the fuel gets cutoff i start droping speed and i have to put the metal to the petal to the other metal to keep going. i can not at the moment change the pcv valve i cant figure out how to take the cat off i have a haynes manual but there some bolts that i cannot see that i need to remove to take that off. ive asked alot of people for help some have been cool and most have not to say the least. any help would be apreciated i live in dallas tx and would pay someone near me to help me or buy them beers. one more thing when im stoped at a light with the ac on i hear a sqeaking noise i think my belt tensioner is going out could that be the culprit of the loss of power it recently starting squeaking and the hessition on freeway and street sometimes came after the sqeaking started. if your not going to help me then dont leave any hatefull or deregatory statements.

Welcome. LOL. At your title.

Clean the MAF. Can't tell if you changed the fuel filter ($10). Might have to CHANGE IAC valve too.

yeah ive already changed the fuel filter and i dont put gas in mom and pop stations anymore. my car will ruff idle or hesitate no matter if the tank is full halfway or almost empty so i doubt its the fuel pump. i do have cel codes and last time i checked lol the codes were about the oxygen sensors ive already switched both out bosch ones and nothing. with all the maintenance and improvements ive done ive gone from 18 mpg since i first got her to almost 28 mpgs that a heck of alot of gas money i save. i am going to buy a new iac for it but that female dog is hard to get to. last time it took me almost 3 hours to get it off and put it back on. yeah i know search on how to take it off i did and the articles ive found say take this off take this off and thats how i did it but i still cant get to it. i am buying extensions and those things that make your rachet bend at angles to get around all those small pipes and fuel rail. i have cleaned the entire intake system brand new air temp sensor ive hosed the maf and the pipes all down with all kinds of electrical or air intake cleaner.

I take it you have changed the air filter. Next time the CEL shows up, scan it and post the code(s). Actually, scan it now (free at Autozone) just in case there are intermittent codes and see if you have some codes to post.

Edit. Dallas, Texas. We have quite a few CEGers in Texas.

could be a very crappy air filter. Your IAC may just need to be replaced and cleaning won't help if the unit is dieing. Make sure you fuel filter is on the right way ( almost did that myself, but caught it before I lowered the tour back down). This maybe a far stretch but could these symtems being a fuel pump? I would get the CELs read at autozone. even if the light isn't on.

This could happen,

"car stalls.finaly after a while of keeping the pedal down a bit she warms up and barely idles."

And if the fuel filter was not changed in a long time and there was sediment in your tank, and if you did the filter change when your gas tank was very low in fuel, it could suck up the sediment and clog the fuel filter again.

It could happen.

Second code was probably P0171 System too lean, P1131 is O2 sensor lack of switching due to over lean condition.

Clean the MAF first, then check for leaks between MAF and TB. And check that the oil dipstick is seated properly.

Check out this TSB

Edit. It might not be the IAC valve. But if you want to change it, this is the location and instructions.
